Mouse in left upper corner of screen on rom launch

Post by ivanx » Mon Oct 22, 2018 5:02 pm

Any chance someone knows how to completely remove the mouse / cursor / arrow that briefly appears when launching all emulators? It shows briefly in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

thanks

This is an artifact of SDL. As far as I'm aware to remove it you would need to recompile SDL and SDL2 without it in the code (or with it blacked out or similar).

I do plan to try doing that at some point but I rarely notice the cursor flash up due to the shape of my monitor (the rounded off corner of my main CRT really hides it). It's also possible hiding the cursor in this way will introduce other issues with analog controls - although I'm far from sure.

Sorry if there's a quick fix for this I don't know it.
