Access standard tab menu in retroarch?
I've got a couple of games I'm using the 0.78 version of Mame with. I need to access the service menu for those games to alter the volume, which requires a (software) switch to be turned on. In other versions of mame (like 1.39), I can access the mame tab menu by pressing the tab button on a keyboard, or by pressing the service button inside the coin door then go to the options menu and toggle on the service switch. However, with 0.78, I can't get to the tab menu. I can get to RGUI by pressing F1 on a keyboard, but the service menu switch isn't an option. I much prefer the default mame tab menu interface as it's what I'm used to. Is there a way to use it instead of the RGUI interface?

I'll ask this a bit simpler: How can I access the DIP switch settings in MAME 0.78?

The joystick shortcut of Player 1 Start + Joy1 Right should open MAMEs menus.
The Retroarch emulators are set to use the Linux Raw input method so the hotkeys system will work, this has a side effect of stopping a lot of keyboard inputs from working. You can work around this by adjusting the input driver to UDEV in RGUI and then exiting and re-launching the game for the change to take effect. Using the UDEV input driver keyboard will work but the hotkeys won't work work so you will probably want to change it back when you're done.
