Unfortunately that didn't do it. I am 100% convinced that I am only getting one channel of sound for some reason. I checked the hardware (pushed the audio cables in, etc)... no go... the vocal track I am getting is also from the disc... but it's one of two channels... the other channel has the rest of the sounds... and that's the channel not playing.dee2eR wrote: ↑Fri Apr 13, 2018 5:01 pmThere's also 2 different volume controls in Daphne that complicate it a bit further.FrizzleFried wrote: ↑Fri Apr 13, 2018 3:16 pm
EDIT: Unfortunately I am not seeing a MONO/STEREO option thus far. Would the Pi3 have some sort of audio handler that could cause this? I'm just at a loss as to why this one game is affected (BTW, I just ran the old version to make sure it was still working before I moved it from the card to HD then back to the new card and yeah, it's working on the old compile without issue).
I'm guessing there is some sort of sound handler and it's outputting only one channel?
-volume_nonvldp <volume> Sets the volume of all audio besides the laserdisc audio when using VLDP (max value is 64, 0 means muted). VLDP only.

It may be worth a fiddle with these tags on the launch command line in /boot/launchers/daphne.sh
No idea why anything has changed, especially only for one game. This is a weird one.
EDIT: This can be confirmed by playing the OGG file in the framefile folder for DL. Sure enough, left channel is announcer... right channel is everything else.
Now, I wonder if the "right channel" is working for other emulators... I wonder if I have a hardware issue (bad cord between PI and RaspberryJAMMA perhaps?)... or something like that. If only the left channel is outputting, because the JAMMA connector makes the stereo mono, I wouldn't notice unless I came across a game that had discrete sounds from each channel (such as Dragon's Lair).
I think I am going to try to load up Wizard of Wor... from my recollection it plays sounds out of one channel and voice out of the other....
EDIT: Well poop... that's not going to work... it APPEARS as if the voice isn't working (probably still uses samples)... even the preview video doesn't include voice. Anyone know of any other games that have discrete sounds in each channel of audio? Maybe Gorf... but I suspect it has the same issues as WoW... same system if I recall correctly... hmm...
EDIT #2: Well, there IS a sample zip for WOW in the boot folder. Maybe I "AM" missing a channel completely and I am just noticing. How could I determine if this is the problem? I supposed I could eliminate the cord by using the one on my other unit (I'd have to snip off the zip tie, but that's not hard).
I think I'll hold off until i hear from Dee2er first...
Any way that some setting is just set 100% to RIGHT channel or something? Is there even such a setting? Where would it be if so....
THANKS!
