No matter what I do, I cannot rotate the screen

Hello! This is my fist Raspberry Pi arcade experience, but I have built MAME machines, as well as 60n1s, and am currently running a Pandoras Box in my Neo Geo cabinet. I want to replace the Pandoras Box with the Arpicade, so I borrowed a Arpicade/Raspberry Pi from a friend. He had it set up as a vertical setup, and of course the Neo Geo is horizontal. I have Attract Man rotated correctly, but MAME is still vertical. I have edited the mame.cfg in the MAME4ALL, as well as both the MAME172 and MAME171 folders by changing the ror and rol settings, but nothing seems to help. I know this is an older version, and perhaps upgrading will fix it, but I am just wondering if there is something I am missing?

Not knowing the version of ARpicADE you're on it is difficult to say what the correct rotation method would be. From your description the software you have is at least a year out of date.

The normal way to rotate the monitor using ARpiCADE is to select it from the service menu (or directly edit /boot/config.txt). Due to the way the whole thing works there's no need to go through each emulator individually. I think the only thing that doesn't auto rotate is the Attract-Mode theme.

As you're trying to go horizontal it may be easiest to just download the current ARpiCADE and start fresh. Horizontal low res is the default setup.
