Loving the new version 3.71
I'm lazy and just want to use the 1 emulator MAME 0.181 but Hi Scores saving doesn't seem to be working, would anyone know how to go about this? I'd be handy compiling my own version in Windows but I'm a bit lost in Linux.

I think the high score support is done through the built in LUA scripting in 181. I'll have a look into it tomorrow but I don't think you need to patch it in, that said I'm not sure how it actually works... I haven't used 181 a lot due to the video output being handled differently to the other emulators.

Oh, is there an issue with the video output in .181? I could roll back to 0.171
The new build looks fantastic BTW

thanks
It's not so much an issue as it is a change in MAMEs video out settings. 172 and all the earlier versions will keep the same width for all games while displaying on the correct vertical scanlines, 181 doesn't have this setting (or I couldn't find it) and the width will change from title to title depending on the original game. Either way looks good and is scanline correct output but based on the feedback I recieved on earlier ARpiCADE versions which had the same varying width video behaviour as 181 most people prefer the horizontal size to stay consistant when switching games.
