Unlike most the first time using this I had many Rom compatibility issues. I am good with building cabs replacing broken things doing cap kits. The software side is the area I fall short.
Having to turn the arcade of and on every time I want to put the SD card back in my computer is a pain. Is it possible I am missing some way to do this? I mostly use candy cabs and getting on the floor twenty times to test comparability with roms or sets is a pain.
Im downloading 3.9 now using advmame 106 and fba .40 archive.org sets. lets hope this goes easier than last year.
Also at this point and time there should be a full set available to torrent. You want your product to go off with a bang so I am not sure why this wasn't implemented already. Even if its on Arcade Punks then you wouldn't even be associated with it. Even if someone else does it, as it really needs to happen. This way at least when programming custom romset you know 100% it will work as it already does completely eliminating user error.
I would also suggest you have threads on these forums
arcadeprojects.com
neo-geo.com
arcadeotaku.com
schmups.com
This has been a great product to test the real thing. I personally love it and recommend it and also realize some issues I have are user error.
How do I remove the SD card without turning whole arcade of and on

You could set it up so the Pi is on your network and copy roms across that way, I don't personally do it that way so I'm not that good for advice on the subject. You can read more about doing this with RPi (not ARpiCADE specifically but any advice for Raspbian should work as ARpiCADE is based on Raspbian) here:

I'd generally recommend referring to this list as well: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1wMSNB ... -Z-27jIPlA it's probably far from perfect but can save some of the guess work of the what will run well where.
It would be nice if someone released a custom romset, especially if it wasn't legally murky (at best) to do so... unfortunately I can't do it.
Thanks for the general compliments about the system, and the suggestion to reach out to more forums. I think I'm actually a member on neo-geo.com...(been a while though...) I'm hesitant to start threads in new places, it's difficult for me to write about something I make without looking like I'm joining sites to spam my wares. I haven't really reached out much beyond Aussie Arcade, KLOV and UKVAC because of that. (I was invited to UKVAC, I'm very happy to join if I'm invited to do so) It's nice the arcade hobby is large enough to support so many different groups...
