Looks like I might have the newest release. I did try and download the full version but the link seems not to be working. I was going to put it on another SD card and see if it looks the same as mine.

certainly sounds like you have the up to date version. Your resSwitch.sh should have stopped the system changing resolution too, maybe the issue is in an emulator launcher script.

Do you remember what game or emulator had the issue?

I'll check the download links out. Thanks for letting me know its out of action.
EDIT: the link seems to be working for me... may have just been one of those things.

Excitebike is one that is an issue.
EDIT:
Track and Field 2
Starfox
Seems like all the games that don't have audio in the main menu.............don't know if that helps or hurts.

Do you want a continued list of games that don't work? I don't know how to tell what emulator is being used with each game. Is there a good way to find this information out? Can you break down games by emulator in the main screen?

Might be a console game issue. I will have a look at it today, I do a lot more of my testing in low res than high res so I may have missed something.

You can't break the all games list into individual emulators but you can make extra lists and do individual emulator lists that way. Press either cabside 'test' or keyboard 'tab' to access the Attract-Mode menus, loads of ways you can set up Attract-Mode so it may be a bit confusing to start with.

I can't be the only one that is using this with high res right? The more games I try the more games that don't work. It is definitely video related thought. I can hear the sound and even start a game but can't back out or anything, have to turn off and back on. How did your testing go?

All the games you listed worked fine for me at high or low res. Not sure what the difference is...

Is it only Nintendo and Super Nintendo stuff the issue comes up with? If so it maybe why no-one else has reported the issue, I think most people are mainly running arcade stuff.

In your /boot/config.txt this section is like this right?:

hdmi_group=1
## Use only one mode at a time
# Boot and menus in 480i (rotated games in 480i, non rotated games in 240p/256p/288p)
#hdmi_mode=6
# Boot and menus in 240p (all games in 240p/256p/288p)
#hdmi_mode=8
# Boot and menus in 480p (no res switching, just 480p)
hdmi_mode=1

I will check. Can I run low res over high res equipment?
