Thanks I will look in to this.dee2eR wrote: ↑Tue May 18, 2021 7:20 amRebooting to get back to the game menu from the service menu is normal. The service menu and the regular game menu are two sepperate instances of Attract-Mode.Firehawk wrote: ↑Mon May 17, 2021 3:24 pmIf I press the service button on my cab I can do the rom scan. But I can't get out of the service menu without rebooting or shutting down. Is this normal or am I missing a button combination? I can add Full rom scan to favourites but where can I find this favourite menu?
Another question is when I play Dreamcast games it consist mostly of multiple files bins and cue for example. Arpicade shows the game then multiple time for every file. Is thery a way to hide the bin files for example?
Btw, I have to say Atomiswave/Naomi/Dreamcast runs very well. Better then Deathsmiles.
I think you have to add a favourites display using Attract-Modes menu to use favourites.
You can hide stuff you don't want seen in the menu manually using a keyboard. When it's highlighted in the menu press 'e' for the edit menu, delete this game is one of the options - it only removes the menu entry and doesn't actually delete the game. Next time you scan the roms the entries you remove this way will reappear though. It's also possible to edit the game lists directly with a text editor.

Tried this for mame 203 with Deathsmiles black label. Runs indeed a little better.dee2eR wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 3:09 amFound a slight performance increase for MAME 203 and 230. In /home/pi/mame203/mame.ini and /home/pi/mame230/mame.ini find the section labled 'OSD VIDEO OPTIONS' and change 'video' from 'auto' to 'accel'
Seems to make a bigger difference for 203 but both are improved from my testing.
It doesn't work for MAME 172, in fact it has the opposite effect and will cause worse performance...
If the second card does it too I doubt it's the SD card card (assuming they're genuine), I haven't noticed anything different with the SanDisk Extremes I've had compared to SanDisk Ultras (not even the theoretical speed increase, not that I've timed and compared writes or anything).cool_factor wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 10:04 amErrors back.... I'm not doing anything different than I did with 3.x.1 so not sure what's causing it. It Im going to try leaving fsdk on auto and see what happens. Weird if 2 identical SD cards would be faulty. Its the first time I've used the Extremes though. Ill let you know findings..
