Hi there,
To get omxplayer, I need to enable WiFi.
So far I have:
*Removed "disable wifi" "brcmfmac" and "brcmutil" via the steps listed on KLOV
*Put in my ssid and psk in edit wifi settings
*edited /etc/network/interfaces so that iface eth0 inet is "dhcp" rather than "manual"
*typed iwconfig to see settings and get "no wireless extensions". (That can't be good.)
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
EDIT: I'm adding new things I've tried, above.
Also, plugging directly into a known-good hardline connection rather than wifi didn't get me internet, either.
Went thru steps but still no internet connection

That's odd. You shouldn't have needed to do most of that. All you should need to do is put your WiFi details into the WPASupplicant file, which you can do via the service menu. As well as your SSID and password you will need to edit the country code.
Especially odd that plugging in Ethernet before booting didn't get it going, with a Ethernet connection it should 'just work'. Hopefully the steps you took so far haven't done something to stop Ethernet working. If you try Ethernet on a fresh image it should work without any changes.
Sorry I can't be more help here, networking is not my specialty.
