ID this component/ smokey

Post by vib_ribbon » Fri Apr 17, 2026 7:33 pm

Hi.

I've been enjoying my old arpicade a lot recently. Tonight, while I was playing a particular game, I noticed the sound was missing. When I powered my supergun down to restart it to see if it made any difference, this component on the board literally went up in smoke. :o

Can you tell me what it is so I could get it replaced? Hopefully that will fix it? Thanks.

Thats an AN7511 audio amp chip.

Replacing it should see you fixed up but it's also worth having a look at your 12v in case it helped the chip fail.

Also, please join us over at arpicade.net - it's the latest version of this forum.
