I hope thats what it's called.
When I hit Tab to exit to Advmenu I do believe what it's called. I have a question/request.
Upon hitting Tab it always goes to Scraper can in a script of can it be changed to be at the top i.e. "Displays" constantly having to hit joystick up 6 times gets tiresome and slows it down. LOL
Then upon going into the Displays if defaults to Sega mega Drive and thus to go to All Games I need to go up 7 times on Joystick.
Now I realize this is not a first world issue, but rather with me on a cabinet and trying to modifying and changes themes, it certainly slows it down and gets crazy doing this every 5 minutes as I make small changes to themes.
I am hoping you can tell me a script that I can change to make what is the default.
Another crazy question. how do you make a game your favorite? can this be done via a keyboard, joystick, button push or something?

I think, but may be off, that you're mistaking AdvMenu for the second instance of Attract-Mode. AdvanceMenu is installed but not active by default (and no longer fully configured), it's a completely different frontend program that was the default menu in early versions of ARpiCADE.
In current ARpiCADE (3.83 as I write this) when you exit the game selection menu (the first instance of Attract-Mode) with f4 or esc ( esc may not work on all themes) or cab service the service menu is launched but the service menu is just a different instance of Attract-Mode.
Both menus are using the same frontend, Attract-Mode, but with different configs. Unless you have changed /boot/run.sh you're not using AdvMenu at all.

As far as where the Attract-Mode menu (tab or cab test switch) starts up I don't know if you can change the order short of redoing each listing in the order you want (I think they appear in order of creation - I could be wrong) or recompiling with some source code changes. Basically I'm not sure, sorry. If you don't use the extra displays you could always just remove them so they're not in the way.
Favourites work, it's a feature that is built into Attract-Mode. Unfortunately I'm not sure how they work as I don't use the feature. I imagine you will need to set a button that tags a game as a favourite and you may need to add another display for favourites if it isn't handled automatically. If people start requesting this I can probably set it up by default in a later version of ARpiCADE.

Yep.. Okay got it. I knew I woudl name it wrong as I am learning this system(kudos by the way)
