Merged vs Split ROMs and arguments

Anyone have thoughts on using a merged MAME ROM set vs a split set? I've generally used the spit sets, but I'm wondering if using merged would be more efficient. If I play something like Fantastic Journey, where fantjour.zip is the parent ROM, but I want to play the Japanese version, which is gokupa...

Re: Splitting HDMI Signal

I have an HDMI splitter coming out of the Pi. The RaspberryJAMMA is plugged into one side, and the other goes to my capture device/laptop. works like a charm, BUT, if you dont have power at the capture side, you wont see anything on your CRT/arcade cabinet.

Re: Tab menu not working in MAME 037 or FBA

Nevermind, found a post further down. F1 for the fba menu.

Were you able to figure out how to get into the fba menu? I was testing some games tonight and couldn't figure it out either. P1+down did pause it though.

Using 3.X image.

Re: ARpiCADE 3.X (that's a ten, I thought 10 may be confusing...)

You could add MAME 0.220 (assuming there's space for it on the SD partitions). You will need to compile it for Pi, including doing any patches you want first. Once you have MAME ready you need to add a launcher (prob easiest to copy MAME 0.203s launcher), rom folder, art folders, Attract-Mode confi...

Re: ARpiCADE 3.X (that's a ten, I thought 10 may be confusing...)

Quick question...and maybe this is the wrong thread, but I just downloaded and imaged my SD for 3.X.

Is there any way to update the MAME versions, or add a new one manually? I'd like to get .220 working if possible.

Re: RaspberryJAMMA fried? HELP!

Ok, so I got around to checking out the board by connecting directly to the DAC with a VGA cable to monitor. No signal there, video below. I then connected an HDMI cable to the Pi, ran that to the monitor and got a signal. Videos of both linked below. So, it looks like the DAC is fired, or something...

Re: RaspberryJAMMA fried? HELP!

Yeah, you are absolutely right, I should not have been able to do this...but somehow, stupid finds a way. I felt one side push down when I did it. Just replicated it and took these pictures. Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to embed these images, so hopefully you can view them. https://drive.google....

RaspberryJAMMA fried? HELP!

So I have my RaspberrryJAMMA for a few weeks now, been testing versions of ArPiCade, ROM sets and the different emulators. MAME only. So today, I pulled the board from my cab, a Dynamo, to pull the SD card and load some ROMs. I've done this many times over the last few weeks, accessing it via the fl...
