Re: Converting from Pi3 to Pi4
Are the folder structures and such identical though? In other words, if I build a working pi4 device, could I just copy over certain folders and get it working? Or will I have to start from scratch?

Converting from Pi3 to Pi4
Does anyone have any tips or ideas about what it will take to convert an image from Pi3 to pi4? I've got an image that works great on a 3, it is fully configured and everything is just so. But I need it to work on a pi4. Is there any kind of straightforward process for getting this to work? Or is it...

Re: NeoGeo cabinet
Now that I've solved the squealing issue...man this thing is nice. I installed all the NeoGeo games. It takes a little longer to load them than the original multi-cart but it's very reasonable. And so far they all seem to play great. With a MUCH better selection of games. I will whittle out many of ...

Re: Really loud squealing noise with new install
Yep. The squealing was caused by the standard NeoGeo stereo sound setup. I pulled the ground cable from both speakers and then connected up the Speaker+ and Speaker- wires (on Neo Geo they are called "speaker left" and "speaker right") to a single speaker and the squealing stopped.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Really loud squealing noise with new install
It looks like it is wired for stereo sound. I didn't realize that the NeoGeo cabinets were wired differently for this. I may temporarily re-wire it back to standard JAMMA and see if that solves the problem.

Re: Really loud squealing noise with new install
not sure exactly what is happening there... if you hadn't mentioned other JAMMA boards I'd suggest the cab could be wired for stereo sound off the 'JAMMA' edge connector, which was the MVS standard. Assuming the cab is wired for mono at the JAMMA edge I'm at a bit of a loss, especially if the RJ bo...

Really loud squealing noise with new install
Hi everyone. I'm new to this so please bear with me. I just installed Arpicade 4.3 on a Pi4. I have not installed any game roms or done any modifications to settings at all. When I put it in my Neo-Geo cabinet (Jamma), it makes a gawd-awful loud squeal that is relentless. The menu comes up and I can...

Re: ARpiCADE 4.3 (for RPi4)
Hi, thank you for the update. I'm a little confused. Probably because I'm new to all this. I just got a pi4 recently and would like to install the latest working version. Your notes up top seem to say that I need to have Arpicade 4.3 loaded already in order to install 4.31, is this correct? But the ...
