im an actual idiot. the jump button only does like half a jump, you must hit joystick up to get to teh next level - but my joystick was wired backwards so i never saw it. i may wire the jump button to joystick up as well, i dont see purpose in the half jump yet but ill keep trying.

hi all! i finally got a fully functional fix it felix after months of renovations - im on the very very final stages. i have a raspberry pi with teh fix it felix image from here running an arpicade, but the controls are weird - basically all inputs are either off or laggy. he never jumps high enough...
