Dee2er ... if it's not a huge problem ... moving the ROMLISTS folder to the FAT32 partition would make updating ROMLISTS for newbs a LOT easier. With Paragon 7 working ... it's not a big deal for some folks to manually update those lists ... for others ... it's just not going to happen as long as they're on the Linux partition.

Im having an issue with games in the 106 folder not scanning and adding to gameslist. Two of my fav games Sunset Riders and Narc, ive added and it doesnt matter how many times i run the rom scan, they dont show up. I cant seem to find updated roms for any of the newer mame builds. Any ideas? Am i missing something?
I'll have to check that out tomorrow. Haven't noticed anything similar but IDK... Sunset Riders may have the 4 player version hidden in the scanner, assuming it has a 2 player child - completely unsure re. Narc.

EDIT: just checked and both ran fine in 274 once I found the right roms

I've not played DonutDoDo but I have seen some video footage. It looks fun. I would want to try it out and will add it when it's loadable and exitable as normal from Attractmode. Same with Fix-It-Felix... though I think that MAY be working 100% now a days (might be time to look in to that)... am I right in that I could add the launch from within a mixed emulator romlist?
FIFJ currently has a bug on ARpiCADE_5, the controls will be sluggish. I can't seem to get the *IforgetOffhand* package to install right in WINE... not sure why as I got it working fine on other builds...

DonutDodo already works (buy it, it's good), you just need to ctrl+win+right arrow 5 times after it starts to fix the horizontal scaling (and you have to add it to the romlist from the service menu using the option). Today I automated it, and a few other things. I'll release a new image soon as there's a silly number of updates already on this one, possibly can do it as an update too...

EDIT: DonutDodo and FIFJ both have their own launchers in /boot/[firmware/]launchers/ and they are set up in Attract-Mode, you should be able to add them into mixed lists.

Can't do it without having issues. I can add service menu options to copy the romlists to/from a folder on the FAT32 partition. I want to add update bootslash&initram to the service menu anyway so a couple more additions is easy.

I imagine most users don't do much manual romlisting, but I could well be wrong.

Thanks mate. As it turns out games I’m adding to the folder are being found except ssriders.zip

I’ve tried multiple files and it worked in older versions but just can’t seem to add sunset riders. It’s in my top 10 fav games so it’s a must for me hahah.

I have no idea how to edit game lists etc so I’ll keep trying different roms and mame versions. Narc is working at least :)

Loving being able to play Naomi games on this pi5 version though :)

Oh another question. Sorry!

The new image is always too horizontally wide on all my machines. No amount of manual horizontal sizing with the pots will make it fit on screen.

Is this overscan? I’ve tried in the service menu overscan option but the text is unreadable. Is there a way in config to lessen the horizontal width?

I've been trying to do this on my vertical 25" crt. I've adjusted best I can and it seems like it's still about 3/4" off... I was going to go so far as using a different cap (.39 currently). A .47 would shrink my image some. Think I'll wait for a response Dee2er before I go that far...

Yeah, as I thought ssriders is in the parent arcade_hide array in the romscanner. Either throw the 2 player version (eg. ssridersabd.zip or another clone) in as well as the main rom OR remove ssriders from the arcade_hide array in /boot/launchers/ScanRoms_V007.sh

Is this for all resolutions or just one/some? I know the 480i image is wider than most of the 2XXp images but I have limited control over the 480i res (which is part of why 480i is mostly disabled by default) - I only use it for vectors at the moment and have been adjusting the image size of them in MAMEs slider menu to make the 480i roughly line up with the 2XXp geometry. If it's a problem on only a resolution [or 2 or a few] let me know the details and I can try to tweak the modes.

The progressive scan resolutions can be adjusted a bit more with some modeline tweaking if needed.

Unfortunately there's no way to adjust the width of the image accrosss multiple resolutions using the config.txt margin controls as on earlier RPi software.

Any chance your chasssis has a picture size jumper? I know some chasis have them. If not and your width adjust pot is maxed out the only currently working thing I can think of is using the MAME sliders menu to reduce the width in games.

I wouldn't go as far as changing the components on your monitor chassis (unless you don't mind doing so). If you do, please be careful to discharge the CRT first, I'm sure you already know that though.

Otherwise, same questions as in my previous post to Hashman... one or multiple resolutions etc.?
