no sound and buttons not working

hi just downloaded the 3.7 and upgraded to 3.71 fresh install now ive got no sound and buttons dont work any help will be much appricated thanks

That's wierd, haven't heard of that happening before. What exactly did you do to upgrade? Nothing should have effected the sound so I'd love to know what's gone wrong here.

Hi dee2er just download the 3.7 base then upgraded to 3.71 on a new sd card put a few mame Roms in the 0.106 plus samples that needed them all on the same sd card . Could that be the problem .copied from my early build think it was 3.5 .and now I've got no sound plus the buttons don't respond the joystick works fine ..what do you think thanks

I've got ver3.5 working is there a way to updated to 3.7 thanks without staring from scratch cheers

There is no direct way to update 3.5 to 3.7 unfortunately. 3.71 was the first incremental update released.

Assuming you imaged 3.7 fine and it ran fine and had sound and working buttons the issue must be in the update to 3.71. Am I right in saying the update to 3.71 seemed to run fine (there's not really any feedback on the 3.71 update, I added feedback for 3.72) and rebooted afterward with the new splash and loading screens? But then games had no sound and buttons no longer worked?

Sound samples moved to /boot with the update too, where exactly did you put the samples? Is the sound issue only with samples?
Is the button problem with all inputs or just some?

hi everything was fine in v3.5 working great .so download 3.7 on a freash card no sound or controls on the buttons up/down/left/right etc are ok then up to 3.71 same nothing again so went back to 3.5 everything is great on that ..not sure whats happend thanks again for getting back to me
