That worked although i cant seem to use service button to move through options. I've also shot you a PM regarding my RJ boards.

Replied to PM.
Will take a look at Naomi service buttons at some point soon. It may be a limitation of the emulator or the RA core version of it but if it's a setting I'll do what I can.

What I experienced was:Hashman wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 4:54 amYep. Using the closest micro hdmi. I was using Paragon 6 but upgraded it to 7. I have three Arpicades but pretty sure I got them all as soon as you released them so it could be a 1A fuse? Not sure how to tell. What if I power the pi5 with a usb c power pack. Will that work?dee2eR wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 4:02 am@Hashman Hard to say. Which HDMI micro did you plug into? You will want to use the first one (closest to the Pi power input).
Did you do anything at all after imaging the SD card? Are you using Paragon? If so don't use Paragon 5 as it breaks things, 7 is reported to work though.
Do you happen to remember how old your RaspberryJAMMA board is? If it's an early one with a 1A fuse that could be the issue too (as far as I know the Pi5 wont boot on a 1A fuse, it basically uses 1A most of the time), RJ boards had 2A or 2.5A fuses for the past 6 or 7 years.
I'll probably upload a new image of ARpiCADE_5 soon with all the little bits mentioned in this thread done already. Have to renew my MEGA storage for the year first though...
(a) I had to update my 1A fuse
(b) I had to really squeeze the ribbon connector on to the Pi5 as the Pi5 active cooler is in the way slightly... you have to really push a bit to seat it fully.

If using the current build for Pi5... be sure to comment out the UNDERCLOCK setting in the config. I managed to forget to do this (again) and yeah, I was rockin 2200mhz rather than 2800mhz. I also found out my newer Pi5 won't do 3000 while the other one I bought (the first one) does 3000mhz with ease. No biggie... seems stable at 2890mhz...

Re: ARpiCADE_5 - for Pi4 or Pi5
Recently made (last year or so) RJ boards have been getting ribbon cables I've made slightly differently so there's a little more space for the Pi5 heatsink (removed the strain relief loop at the Pi side). They're still rearly close to the heatsink on the Pi5 but they don't need to be forced into place.FrizzleFried wrote: ↑Fri Mar 14, 2025 3:09 pm[(b) I had to really squeeze the ribbon connector on to the Pi5 as the Pi5 active cooler is in the way slightly... you have to really push a bit to seat it fully.

I have been running with the underclock, yet to see a reason not to as everything seems to run great. Then again I've been going through Aussie summer (yeah we're halfway into March but it's still summer-like here at the moment) and my office has no cooling of its own.FrizzleFried wrote: ↑Sat Mar 15, 2025 1:15 amIf using the current build for Pi5... be sure to comment out the UNDERCLOCK setting in the config. One of my Pi5s also won't do 3ghz; just silicon lottery. Anything over stock speeds is a lucky bonus.
Re: ARpiCADE_5 - for Pi4 or Pi5
Found a title that runs better in 251 than 274 (first one!), keep in mind it's better, not perfect - in fact I have the game running in AdvMAME as reported earlier in the thread... Strikers 1945 III (and probably the other games running on the same Psikyo hardware):
GroovyMAME 0.274 = 92.41% (as reported on the command line after running the game for a short period)
MAME 0.251 = 99.22% (I'm running my Pi5 underclocked so it may actually be possible to run at full speed)
MAME 0.172 = black screen, unsure if game takes ages to load or is broken in this build
MAME 0.106 (advmame) = 100%
0.274 is definately my first port of call for roms now. The vast majority of games I have tested so far run great in it.

G-Net games run slow unless you overclock (at least Chaos Heat did)... ALMOST got there in .172 before I overclocked. It runs fine in .251 now...dee2eR wrote: ↑Sat Mar 15, 2025 3:31 amI have been running with the underclock, yet to see a reason not to as everything seems to run great. I don't even have Chaos Heat in my list... I've got the rom, must have missed it when copying stuff to SD card. The G-Net games I did have were in 172... will have to check them out with an OC I guess. Did you try 274 with them?

I can confirm that most Gnet games take some power to run right. Ray Crisis, for example, is another power-hungry beast.
