Does the system scan for roms when starting up? It sounds like you have the regular ARpiCADE defaults, ie. horizontal and no roms. If you paid for a setup you may want to contact whoever sold it to you, maybe they sent the wrong software.

You didn't happen to overwrite the card you had bought with the vanilla release I recommended earlier in the thread? At that point I didn't realize you had a setup version already, I thought you were trying to get started from scratch. Hopefully my advise hasn't caused the issue you are now having.

Unfortunately I can't read anything in the screen shot, the resolution is too low. Other than the two ideas above I don't really know what to suggest now. Probably best to contact your point of sale.

It says something about putting together a game list, but it goes away so quickly I couldn't tell ya for sure.

I'm pretty positive that is not the issue. I copied over the SD card contents before I got started. The rom folders were empty from the get go, so I'll reach out and see if I can get one with the roms I bought loaded on.

Yeah the high res picture wasn't able to upload. I'll contact the seller. In the meantime when you log on, could you please send me the link to where I should download the OS once I get the SD card with the roms for my cocktail table?

If you're buying an SD card off someone it should have the OS on it pre-installed + setup too. When you contact them mention you're using a high res monitor too, they should be able to sort that side out for you as well.

Otherwise the links I have posted for you previously are the latest version of ARpiCADE so you probably already have it. If needed I'm happy to guide you through configuring the free release I do for your setup but I suspect you won't need to worry about that.

One thing that is causing issues is we confirmed that the raspberry pi is a newer version and not compatible with everything loaded on the SD card. Once my new pi comes in the mail, I should be up and running with games to play. I was just wanting to be able to add in any roms that I want and aren't already on the card or remove ones that I don't like to get a more concise list.

If the software is booting on it there should be no trouble with the newer Pi (except WiFi). The versions of ARpiCADE prior to the release of the Pi3B+ will not boot on the Pi3B+ at all.

If you need access to the other partition via your Mac to copy stuff you could try the software recommended in that Mac user advice thread I linked previously. Be careful in the other partition as it contains a Linux system you can break if you do the wrong things (copying files off it should be fine). If you haven't already you should make a back up image of the SD card just in case.

As you said the rom scan is running at startup but there's no games I'm really confused about it all. Once you get the roms off the card you may be best off starting with the vanilla version of ARpiCADE and the roms you've copied, not knowing exactly what version of ARpiCADE you have makes it a bit trickier to help.

Okay got the new SD card and when I plug it in and power up I get 'No Support'. Does anyone have any ideas?

For anyone still following along, if you get 'No Support' then you may need to open config.txt and change the hdmi_mode to 1. That worked for me.

But, when I hold down the P1 button I get booted all the way out past the main menu and then the screen goes into power save mode and shuts down. So to change games, I have to go through this and power down and then start back up to play a new game. Sorry for all the questions, but does anyone know how to fix this?
